Dearest Delaney/Crazy Toes/Crazy Lady/Sweet Cheeks/Laneybug,
I really can't believe I'm writing this letter. Eleven months? Practically one year old? This month has been so full of new things. Hopefully, I'll remember all of them.
You might notice that there isn't a mustache picture this month. You are too busy these days and I didn't even try to put a mustache on you- you would have it off in nanoseconds. One of your favorite things to do is make a mess: empty the paper recycling bin one paper at at time, take the books off of the bookshelves, take clothes out of bins.
You are such a little person these days, full of personality and a silly sense of humor. You sometimes put your pacifier in our mouths and laugh. You laugh whenever we play chase. You laugh when you just look at the dogs (they are pretty silly). Sometimes you also laugh when you are told 'no'- which is not so funny to us. You also like to interject your own laughter when you hear adults talking and laughing.
You are a super fast crawler. You pull up on and cruise around furniture. You also are very brave and let go and attempt to stand. You like to practice walking while we hang on to you.

You're imitating so much of what we say. You are saying 'byebye' and 'baby.' You respond "roar" when asked what a lion says or when you see a lion. Sometimes you say "woof, woof" or "ooo, ooo, ooo" when we talk about dogs or monkeys (and sometimes you roar). Sometimes you look at a picture of a baby and say "baby" and make your roaring sounds. I have no idea what that means (baby lion? or a baby that is ferocious?). You sign 'all done,' 'more' (by clapping), and fish.
You love to read and entertain yourself by reading to yourself every day. You never get tired of listening to us read to you. We love that!
It is so crazy to me that you're going to be turning one in just a few weeks. Wow.
Love,
Mama
